A Christmas carol
The workshop
Whether study Charles Dickens's classic story or as a festive change for the study of The Victorians this workshop brings to life Victorian life and attitudes to poverty, charity and Christmas.
Play in a day
Working with 30 Key Stage 2 children in the morning our actors/directors rehearse them ready for a 45 minute performance.
They take on many of the roles, such as Bob Cratchet, the young Scrooge, the Ghost of Christmas Future and prepare their performance.
During the rehearsal they also explore many aspects of Christmas both past and present.
In the afternoon the children get into costume, the audience arrive and the special performance created for the whole school to watch and enjoy.
